Control Panel DS7200V2-EXP
Release Notes August 2004
Release Notes for Firmware Version 2.10
1.0 Remote Programming
Compatibility
Use RPS-INT’L version 3.7.131 or later to program
the DS7240V2-EXP and DS7220V2-EXP control
panels.
2.0 Known Issues in Firmware
Version 2.10
• Arming an Unlocked Door: A user command
latches a Door Access Control Module’s (DACM)
door open, or a fire alarm latches a DACM’s door
open. The control panel allows the area to be
armed when the door is latched open.
• Renewing One-Time PINs ([#][5][3]): A user
should only renew one-time PINs in the areas to
which the user is assigned. If a user presses
[#][5][3], a user can renew any one-time PIN
regardless of area assignment, and all one-time
PINs can be renewed by pressing [0][*].
• “Recent Closing Reports Enabled” Option:
The Recent Closing {19 to 20} Reports Enabled”
option in Address 0261 should send the original
alarm report and the Recent Close report for
alarms within two minutes of arming the control
panel. Instead, this option sends only the Recent
Close report.
• Controlled Zones with Alarm Output Disabled
Do Not Follow Alarm Event Abort Timer:
Controlled non-fire zones with alarm output
disabled and alarm event abort enabled report
alarms immediately instead of waiting the time
entered in the Alarm Event Abort parameter.
Controlled non-fire zones with alarm output and
alarm event abort enabled follow the alarm event
abort timer before reporting alarms.
• DX4020 Netcom interface module: When using
the DX4020 Netcom interface module and the
control panel is programmed to send events to
both destinations 1 and 2 using alternate
communications (network), there may be a
possibility that a single event will report twice at
the ARC. This possibility will be eliminated when
using DX4020 Netcom interface modules with
firmware versions 2.30 or later.
• Bell Time Output Function: The Bell Time
output function (1|5) should activate on any
alarm, even if the zone in alarm is not
programmed for alarm output, but it only
activates if the zone in alarm is programmed for
alarm output.
• SafeCom: The control panel does not work
reliably when using SafeCom if the format
parameter is set to either SIA 300 or SIA 300 with
Text.
• Sked Time/Daylight Saving Time: Do not set a
Sked’s time to coincide with Daylight Saving
Time. The Sked does not operate as expected.
• Disabling Alarm Output Bypasses Alarm
Event Abort Setting: If the alarm output for a
controlled, non-fire zone is disabled, an alarm on
this zone reports immediately. Any setting made
for Alarm Event Abort is ignored. If the alarm
output is enabled, the Alarm Event Abort setting
is followed. This is the intended operation.
• Defer Test Report Option Not Operating As
Expected: The “Defer Test Report if Other
Report Sent in Test Interval” option currently
causes the control panel to suppress test reports
until the end of the next test interval.
• Alarms do not Clear after Reset: Alarms only
clear from alarm memory after an arming cycle.
• Silenced Alarms in RPS do not appear on
Keypad Display: There is no visual display of a
silenced alarm on the keypad when an alarm is
silenced through RPS.
• System Reset Required After Clearing Zone
Tamper Alarm: If a zone tamper alarm
condition is cleared at the end of bell time, press
[System Reset] before arming the control panel.
• Area 1 Common Area Sending Forced Arm
Reports: The control panel sends a Forced Arm
report to the central station when Area 1 is
programmed as a common area and the last area
was armed with no zone faults/troubles or system
faults/troubles existing prior to arming. In this
case, the control panel should send a normal
closing report once the last area arms.
