B Remove the three screws from the control unit.

B Put the control unit in the service position by

engaging its tabs with the holes in the bottom

horizontal sheet metal.

B Remove the clips from the inlet fitting and bottom of

the water valve. Remove inlet fitting and filter from

water heater. Have a rag handy to catch any residual

water that may come out. Keep water away from

control unit. Replace with the new water filter kit, see

Fig. 5.

B After replacing the water filter, reassemble all parts in

reverse order and check all water connections for

leakage.
