Trouble Shooting

Network Setting

The default Reg-Sentry IP address is 192.168.0.204. It is possible that this IP address will be

incompatible with your hardware i.e. it is not within the range of IP addresses that your server or computer will

allow. If a non DHCP server is used or the device is connected directly to a PC / Laptop this incompatibility

can cause the Reg-Sentry not to communicate with the computer running the Sentry Viewer software.

If this is the case then you will need to alter the network setting of your “Local Area Connection” on

your PC or laptop to enable initial access to the Reg-Sentry. This can be done by selecting “My Network

places” from the windows start menu and viewing the network connections page.
